5th Grade Event/Fundraising Leads Signed Up: 3 / 3

Organizes all 5th grade events, including fundraising for class gift, McCaffrey's receipts, moving on ceremony, etc.

After-School Clubs Signed Up: 1 / 1

Organizes after-school clubs in consultation with the principal, recruiting instructors and volunteers.

Community Service Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1

Organizes events to assist those in need, including the Winter Clothing Drive and Valentines' Day Food Drive.

CP SEPAG Rep Signed Up: 0 / 1

Represent our school at the District's Special Education PTO meetings to share your experience with Special Ed. at CP and disseminate information about District plans and resources to CP families.

Plans events, including the cultural fair or international cultural show, that celebrate the diverse cultures in our school and community.

Green Team Lead Signed Up: 2 / 2

The Green Team lead supports sustainability at Community Park in conjunction with the District Green and Wellness Team using guidelines from Sustainability New Jersey Schools as a framework.

This lead coordinates library volunteers and residencies, working closely with Bevan Jones, the school librarian.

Merchandise Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1

The merchandise leads design, order, and organize sales of CP swag to raise school spirit and PTO funds!

Parker Bear Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1

The Parker Bear lead collaborates with the district liaison, principal, nurse, and local organizations to ensure a more equitable experience for CP students whose families meet the federal free/reduced lunch income requirements. Requires a high level of confidentiality. In the past, the PTO has supported our Parker Bear students by: -Providing complimentary registration to one after school club per session; -Raising funds to purchase gift cards to Target and local grocery stores so all families have necessities around the holidays; -Providing "extras" that might otherwise be out of reach, including class photographs and CP book fair books; -Collaborating with the nurse to purchase eyeglasses; -Collecting and distributing gently used Halloween costumes and winter clothing; -Supporting registration fees for summer camp at the Princeton Recreation Department; -Raising funds for bathing suits and supplies for Parker Bear students attending summer camp

Teacher Appreciation Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1

The Teacher Appreciation lead plans luncheons, treats, and recognition events throughout the year to recognize CP staff for their work, as well as the annual Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Teachers who serve as liaison between teachers and PTO, attend PTO meetings, share priorities, etc.
