Executive Board Signed Up: 7 / 7The executive board (elected officers) runs meetings, plans events, and sets the agenda and goals for the year.

Welcome Week Leads Signed Up: 2 / 2The Welcome Week leads organize welcome events for new and returning families, including tours and playdates.

Library Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The Library lead works with Ms. Jones to plan events, solicit volunteers, and liaise with the PTO re funding for Library activities.

Green Team Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The Green Team lead supports sustainability at Community Park in conjunction with the District Green and Wellness Team using guidelines from Sustainability New Jersey Schools as a framework.

Teacher Appreciation Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The Teacher Appreciation lead plans luncheons, treats, and recognition events throughout the year to recognize CP staff for their work, as well as the annual Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Fundraising Party Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1Coordinates CP's major in-person fundraiser.

Art Fundraiser Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The lead coordinates the Art to Remember Fundraiser, working with the art teacher to convert our children's original art into fun gifts and keepsakes that raise money for the school.

Minted Fundraiser Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The Minted Lead coordinates the Minted Fundraiser. A portion of sales support CP.

Book Fair Fundraiser Leads Signed Up: 2 / 2The book fair leads plan the annual CP book fair fundraiser.

Merchandise Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The merchandise leads design, order, and organize sales of CP swag to raise school spirit and PTO funds!

Parent Organized Parties (POPs) Lead Signed Up: 0 / 0The POPs leads wrangle fellow parents to plan amazing events to raise money for the school.
Parents donate their time and services, or rent space at a party space (like SkyZone or Color Me Mine) and participants pay a small fee to take part in the fun (the PTO also reserves free spots for our Parker Bear kids)! All of the money raised goes to support CP's amazing arts residencies for each grade.
In the past, POPs have included:
-School-based pumpkin carving and themed craft workshops on early dismissal days;
-CP-only movie parties at the Princeton Garden Theatre;
-Learn to ride a bike clinics;
-Wine tastings and spa service parties (adults only!);
-Teachers vs. kids kickball games;
-And grade-level pool parties

CP SEPAG Rep Signed Up: 0 / 0Represent our school at the District's Special Education PTO meetings to share your experience with Special Ed. at CP and disseminate information about District plans and resources to CP families.

Parker Bear Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1The Parker Bear lead collaborates with the district liaison, principal, nurse, and local organizations to ensure a more equitable experience for CP students whose families meet the federal free/reduced lunch income requirements. Requires a high level of confidentiality.
In the past, the PTO has supported our Parker Bear students by:
-Providing complimentary registration to one after school club per session;
-Raising funds to purchase gift cards to Target and local grocery stores so all families have necessities around the holidays;
-Providing "extras" that might otherwise be out of reach, including class photographs and CP book fair books;
-Collaborating with the nurse to purchase eyeglasses;
-Collecting and distributing gently used Halloween costumes and winter clothing;
-Supporting registration fees for summer camp at the Princeton Recreation Department;
-Raising funds for bathing suits and supplies for Parker Bear students attending summer camp

Halloween Parade Lead Signed Up: 0 / 0The Halloween Parade Lead works with the principal to plan this annual event, which includes soliciting volunteers to help decorate the playground.

Community Service Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1Organizes events to assist those in need, including the Winter Clothing Drive and Valentines' Day Food Drive.

STEAM Day Leads Signed Up: 2 / 2Organizes an annual event designed to provide students with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math experiences that will take their everyday learning to the next level. Volunteers present topics, demonstrations, or lead hands-on activities that last for about 15 minutes at a time as classes cycle through.

Spanish Summer Camp Lead Signed Up: 1 / 1Organizes the annual CP Spanish summer camps for Kindergarten and grades 1-5, which are taught by CP teachers.
