What we do: The Green Team supports sustainability at Community Park in conjunction with the District Green and Wellness Team. We use guidelines from Sustainability New Jersey Schools as a framework. This includes but is not limited to...

*Facility Advocacy at the district level

*Wellness Initiatives for both Staff, Students, and Families

*Recycling and Sustainable practices

       -within the school

       -at school Events 

*Certification and Grant Proposals

*Non-traditional Recycling programs (crayons, personal care bottles and items, bottle caps, TREX Challenge/ stretchy plastic)

*Bike and Walk to School Day

*Climate Change Activism/ education (this is a new proposal! so exciting!)
