Hello Dragons!


We hope you all had a great summer! In what seemed like a blink of an eye,  it's time for the kids to head back to school.  For some that's a relief, and for others, summer could have hung around a couple more weeks. Whatever you're feeling, we hope you share our excitement for the new school year and all the great adventures yet to come. 


Mark Your Calendars


August 20, 4-6pm: Class List Release.  Parent volunteers will be selling Dragon Merchandise and Cookies. 


August 21: First Day of School! This is a minimum day. Click Here for bell schedule. 


August 22: Check your child's Dragon Folder for paperwork and updates about the Pledge Drive.


September 5: Back To School Night.


September 10: First PTC meeting of the year (school library @ 6:30pm)


Who/What is the PTC?

The Parent Teacher Club (PTC) raises money and provides volunteer support for the school.

Every DeLaveaga parent and guardian is a member of the PTC and is encouraged to attend our monthly meetings and/or volunteer for fundraisers and events. 


What do we do at meetings

  • plan fundraises & events
  • vote on PTC budget spending for school improvements
  • discuss how to better serve our school population


How can you contribute?

  • attend our monthly meetings (first Tuesday of every month)
  • become a Room Parent
  • volunteer to help with our four main fundraisers: Pledge Drive, Drive For Schools, Walk-a-Thon & the Spring Carnival
  • volunteer for our ongoing events: merchandise sales, Lost & Found Sales, staff breakfasts
  • Office support in the mornings, 8:15-8:45am

  • check out the bulletin board near the main entrance
  • come to our monthly meetings
