Dear SurfRider Families, 

The Everyone A Reader program pairs parents with students to read one-on-one and develop critical literacy skills.   For one hour a week between 12:30-1:30 on the day that best fits your schedule (excluding Wednesdays), you will read with a SurfRider in what many parents feel is The Hills’ most rewarding and impactful volunteer opportunity.  

You’ll be working with and supported by The Hills Media Specialist and Librarian, Kerry Zisook.  Training will be provided and the first training session is this Friday, 9/15 at 12:30.  Please email Kerry at kzisook@dmusd.org to sign-up, or to learn more about Everyone A Reader.  If you are unable to attend the training session but still want to volunteer, Kerry can work with you directly, simply send her an email.
