Hello SurfRiders!

The annual PTA Spring Carnival is tomorrow, 5/18 from 5:00-7:00!  Get ready for  games, inflatable obstacle course, airbrush face painting, photo booth and DJ!  Plus amazing food vendors Taco Love and Sweet Treats.

And at the Carnival, The Hills Student Council will have a collection bin for any used athletic shoes you have that can’t be donated.  The soles of the shoes can be recycled into running track and playground surfaces, cool!  Plus shoe donors will be entered into a raffle for some Hills gear and a new boogie board from our friends at Rusty Del Mar!  Want to be a Carnival hero?  Click here to take a quick, 30 minute volunteer shift at one of our stations.

And lastly, all classrooms are collecting books your students no longer reads or needs for the Title Wave Book Swap next week.  Kids can bring a book (or many books, there’s no limit) to their classroom all week where each teacher has a collection bag.  Next week, students will choose among the donations for a book to keep for summer.  Check out the attached flier for all the details, and thank-you!
