Silly String a Design Facilitator!
If your class hits 100% participation, your LED gets to silly string a Design Facilitator.
✅ Start With Hello Week (Sept. 15–19) — Wear green all next week! Daily lunch activities will build social connections and peer support.

Hi D39C families! We’re a group of parent volunteers, "the Collab," who love serving our D39C community. This year, one of our top priorities is building connections, and we’re excited to launch a brand-new tradition: Community Nights — casual, family-friendly gatherings for parents, designers, and staff to connect.
We invite you to join us for our first Community Night:

💚 Start With Hello Week
Sept. 15–19
As part of the Sandy Hook Promise program, Start With Hello empowers students to reduce social isolation and strengthen our school community by reaching out and connecting with peers.
Designers are encouraged to wear green all next week in support of the program. Each day at lunch, our Counseling Team will lead activities designed to build social connections and peer support. (See attached schedule.)
COMMUNITY NIGHTS ARE HERE!
We’re excited to launch monthly Community Nights at D39C — casual, family-friendly gatherings designed to build connection and community.
Once or twice a month, the Collaborative and our LEDs will host events after school hours with food trucks, sponsors, and fun monthly themes. Questions, or want to help plan? Reach out to Kat@design39collaborative.org.

We’ve added a fun incentive: If your class hits 100% participation, your LED gets to silly string a Design Facilitator — yes, our principal and assistant principals are ready for it! Participation counts with both treasure and/or time.

It was wonderful to see so many designers discovering new interests and getting involved on campus at our Student Enrichment Fair last night (Wednesday, Sept. 10).
