Welcome back to campus and community! 

I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing time away, and is feeling invigorated to return to campus for learning and fun. As we head in to 2026, we're both focused on community and events for the remainder of this year, and on looking forward to the 26-27 school year, with welcoming perspective families on campus for information sessions and tours, and thinking about Collab recruitement for next year. 

We hope you'll join us at our Board meeting on Monday to share your thoughts about what the future holds.

Collab/LED Meetings
The Collab and representative grade level LEDs have been meeting to share updates; here's some notes on upcoming things to look forward to!

K: upcoming learner profiles; operating on trimester assessments, but semester profiles. Full community project in Feb; Exhibition was an adorable success.
2nd: Pages for changes; publisihng and planning stories, and making author portfolios to present to adult mentors. Designers will pitch and receive feedback on their stories, in advance of 39xDesign and a potential maker fair. 
4th: Wrapped the hearts for the holidays project, moving in to narrative writing, and a project around the idea of Toy Story, to create stories and artifacts, in collaboration with their Kinder buddies. 
5th: Narrative writing, and going to Biz Town (with parent volunteers to interview!); Headed to an overnight at Star of India. 
7th/8th: Headed to Medievil Times in March0!
8th: This Friday, Designers are taking a Holocaust Museum virtual tour, and a survivor coming in on Friday to share their experiences. 

Celebration of Us Week and Event!

Every year for Celebration of Us (formerly Passport39), volunteers help support our school community with events celebrating who we are together and apart! Volunteers: SAVE THE DATE to help February 2nd thru the 6th over the Designers’ lunch periods! If you’d like to help us plan programming and school day activities, please join the Belonging social group on Konstella or contact Analyn at Analyn@design39collaborative.org

We're also starting to prepare for Celebration of Us Fair on Saturday, Feb 7 - the Collab's multi-cultural fair that's a highlight of every year. If you have a piece of identity that you'd love to share with our community via a booth, performance, or both, please fill out this interest form: FORM. You can also join the Konstella Group HERE (Celebration of Us - Feb 7!).
