✅ Mark Your Calendar🗓️
October 17: Celebration of Us | THIS SATURDAY! 3 PM - 6 PM
October 19-23: Red Ribbon Week
October 23: Fire Drill
October 26: School Site Council Meeting

Greetings, all.

I'd like to take this space to talk about the Collab, what we've been doing, and what we will continue to do.

First, we've welcomed two new board members - Analyn Paz is returning as Belonging Chair, to continue her work ensuring that each and every student feels that D39C is a home. We've also added Pheobe Ho as Grants Chair, to lead the Grants Committee in fulfilling one-off staff, admin, and LED funding requests.

We still have an opening for a Nominations and Onboarding Chair, and lots of opportunities to sit on committees - particularly the aforementioned Grants Committee - if you'd like to be more involved.

We sometimes hear that folks want to participate, but don't know where to start. Joining a committee is typically one meeting a month, and is a great way to be informed and involved as to the campus happenings; please let me know (David@Design39Collaborative.org) if you'd like to participate.

Because of your generosity, there's also a new set of Sphero robots for our classrooms, an upcoming implementation of a digital hall pass system in the middle school, and, of course, Saturday's Celebration of Us at 3:00 on campus (which, I know I sound like a broken record - is the most fun event of the year).

Hopefully see you Saturday!

David
President, Design39Collaborative
