Well, it's October, despite what the recent (and upcoming) heat would have you believe.

With it, October brings back my favorite event of the year - Celebration of Us. While we've been advertising it in this newsletter and around campus for a few weeks now, that's because of how great it truly is. Not only is it incredibly delicious to taste the foods from our campus's cultures, but the vibrancy, joy, and feeling of community make it an unforgettable day. I hope you'll plan to join us.

Black Student Union

We’re excited to share that the Black Student Union (BSU) will once again be participating in our school’s Celebration of Us event on October 17!

The Black Student Union is dedicated to fostering a sense of community, cultural pride, and connection among students. BSU's mission is to create engaging and inclusive opportunities that celebrate Black culture, history, and achievements, while providing a supportive space for students and families to connect and share experiences. Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of background, and we encourage participation from all members of our school community!

If you’re interested in volunteering, helping with planning, or sharing ideas, please join the Black Student Union group on Konstella and check the group chat for upcoming information. We look forward to celebrating together on October 17!

Afghanistan
Please let us know if you'd like to participate in the Afghanistan booth, as well!

BUSINESS PARTNER CARDS:

Many of our wonderful business partners have agreed to provide deals and discounts to our community; a free discount card - including things like classes and purchases - can be picked up in the Welcome Center. One per family, please!

JOIN A COMMITTEE:
The Collab has committees! Committees are a great way to get involved with the school with a pretty low time commitment; most committees meet about once a month, if that. If you're interested in learning more, please fill out this form! Committee Interest Form

CELEBRATE WORLD SMILE DAY ON OCTOBER 2!

Wear yellow or any color that makes you happy, and help us fill our school with smiles! Leadership students will be handing out stickers at the Front and Kinderloop gates. We can’t wait to see all your smiles!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT (ICYMI):
Did you miss the school wide Designer Reminders newsletter? You can find it here: Designer Reminders: September 28, 2026

We remain grateful for you, our campus community, and the impact of this community; thank you for your patience this week, as school internet/phone systems have been down.
