D39C Community,
We know it's been a week of impassioned discussion following the news of upcoming changes to the Middle School. The Collab leadership has been investing significant time and effort talking to the community and to the administration to keep the discussion moving forward in a productive manner.
A reminder that The Collab is soliciting your feedback, questions, and proposed solutions to best move forward as the changes are implemented; the form can be found by clicking here.
In other news: There's a ton of end-of-year fun to be had, with Celebration of Us coming up on the 16th, 8th Grade Promotion around the corner, and a variety of CA-planned classroom end of year fun. We're also prepping next year's Collab budget priorities, with hopes to do some special projects over the summer as well.

Celebration of Us is next Saturday, May 16!
Please join us for food, fun, and culture at Celebration of Us next Saturday! Come explore 16+ booths, put on by our community, each representing a culture that makes D39 what it is today. There are performances in the Showcase, activities to explore, and fun to be had by all!
Final Community Night
Look out for information about our last community night of the year: a sticker exchange and collage night hosted by the Middle School Leadership Team! This event will be RSVP only so keep an eye out for the announcements coming early next week so you can sign up!
Not too late to join the Collab...
D39 Collaborative is looking for a few great people to join our Board for the upcoming school year—and yes, this means you. We currently have three open roles:
- Fundraising Chair (bring the ideas, we’ll help with the hustle)
- Nominations & Onboarding Chair (aka the “find awesome people” role)
A huge thank you to Samira Jolly and Cristina Bradley, and everyone who volunteered to help make Staff Appreciation Week a reality. Though those two make it look easy, they put in a significant amount of time and effort to make those who impact our campus daily feel the love.
