Celebration of Us is next Saturday, May 16!

Please join us for food, fun, and culture at Celebration of Us next Saturday! Come explore 16+ booths, put on by our community, each representing a culture that makes D39 what it is today. There are performances in the Showcase, activities to explore, and fun to be had by all!
Final Community Night
It’s time to get artsy! We are thrilled to invite our families to a hands-on afternoon of Sticker and Collage making on May 21st. Whether you're a master scrapbooker or just love a good sticker swap, there is a place for you at the crafting table.
Event Details
- Date: May 21st
- Time: 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM
- Location: Showcase
- Please note: This is not a drop-off event. Because this event is after school, guests will only be admitted at the Welcome Center gates until 3:45 PM. All visitors and volunteers must have a photo ID to sign in at the Welcome Center. Materials are distributed first to individuals who have sent in RSVPs to the event, so please RSVP if you wish to attend and participate.
- Sticker Trading Station: Bring your personal collection! We’ll have a dedicated area for guests to swap and trade stickers with old and new friends
- Collage & Scrapbooking Zone: We’ll be using old magazines and notebooks to create unique art. We'll provide the glue but feel free to bring your own materials! Please label all materials you bring that you'd like to keep and take home.
VOLUNTEERS: If you are interested in volunteering for this event and are level 1 or 2 cleared, please contact kat@design39collaborative.org as soon as possible.
Not too late to join the Collab...
D39 Collaborative is looking for a few great people to join our Board for the upcoming school year—and yes, this means you. We currently have three open roles:
- Fundraising Chair (bring the ideas, we’ll help with the hustle)
- Nominations & Onboarding Chair (aka the “find awesome people” role)
- Director of Community and Culture (Help drive community engagement!)

A huge thank you to all those who came to the meeting this week to discuss the middle school changes, engaging in a productive dialogue.
