The Giving Tree is an all PUSD event to help families in need during the holidays.  It was know as Adopt=A=Family for over 30 years until someone complained about the name and we had to change it.  Families are nominated via teachers, administrators, staff or other parents who see that a family may be struggling during the Holidays.   A call is made to the family to see how they are doing and if they could use a little help.  If they say "yes", a form is filled out by the family on some needs that we might be able to meet.  Hopefully, our site, D39C, will be able to support at least 14 families if not more this year.  Everyone is welcome to join in to support families.  We have had book clubs, sports teams, mom groups... you name it.  The idea is to get the basics first, clothing, shoes, socks, underwear and if your budget allows, gifts, toys, ...
