New!  Illuminate West Hartford

Illuminate West Hartford was a beautiful evening! Thank you to all who participated to light up our neighborhoods and together celebrate our diverse community, ongoing learning, and a commitment for action. Resources for all family members and conversation prompts/tips will remain available to support your ongoing family discussions.

See pictures of Illuminate West Hartford from Dufffy and partner schools, Aiken, Braeburn, Bugbee, and Webster Hill!

A very special thank you to the Duffy Community students, parents/caregivers, and staff who helped in assembling and distributing the luminary kits.

Whether you want to help or want to learn or both, don't hesitate to reach out to one of our co-chairs, Tracy Wu FastenbergThao Hau or join the Committee via Konstella.

Art Show Volunteers Needed

After 3 years, we’re so excited that the art show will be in person this year!  It takes a lot of work to make this happen, and Mrs. Schott needs your help. We’re looking for volunteers that can dedicate some time prepping for the show (May 9th) and/or hanging artwork (May 10th). If you have a little time to volunteer, please email Mrs. Schott directly.

Shine on Faydra Siegrist, Garden Co-Chair extraordinaire! Faydra led a small but determined weed-pulling, plant-trimming, worm-finding crew last Saturday for Spring Clean Up in the Duffy Garden. Tip of the sunhat to Faydra as well as co-chair Marcia Lawlor for their dedication to the garden as well as their spearheading the planting of seedlings in many of our classrooms this spring!

And shine on Shannon Pecorelli and Diana Yorkavich for leading Teacher Appreciation Week with the support of Natasha Roggi, Amanda Ostapoff & Michelle Mirsky!  Thank you also to all who volunteered and participated in the activities and the amazing breakfast for teachers on Friday! It couldn't be done without you!

A final shine on this week to Lisa Scoma and Jenn O'Connell for taking us out to the ballgame! Duffy dragons sang heartily, laughed happily, ate messily and it was all better together thanks to the hard work and organization of our Yard Goats Co-Chairs!

One Year, One Time! If you want to submit a shout-out to someone making Duffy better, please email Sarah Dolan, PTO President.
