New!  Is Your Child On Track in Math?

IvyMath is providing all Duffy families with a free online math tutoring session and an in-depth parent conference to discuss your child's strengths and weaknesses and how they compare to grade level. IvyMath will also create a custom learning plan that  maps out the exact areas your child should be focusing on in math. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, and understand what your child needs to feel confident and stay on track in math this year. The IvyMath tutoring session, parent conference, and learning plan are free for all Duffy families. Popular times fill up, so please register quickly! Signup now at: IvyMath.com/Boost

New! Board of Education presentation to the PTO
A BOE representative will be attending an upcoming PTO board meeting. If there is anything you'd like them to address in that meeting, send an email to duffypto@gmail.com and we will pass along the requests so that they can come prepared to respond.

Coming soon! Paul Cryan will be at Duffy January 31st thru February 3rd.
A link for sign ups will be released shortly.

Bingo Night volunteers needed
Bingo night is coming up (date to be confirmed) and we need volunteers to help make it a success! Please email Kim Molinaro if you are interested in helping with this fun family event.

Nominations for next year's PTO board
We are beginning to think about next year's PTO board. If you are interested in volunteering for the Board, please email duffypto@gmail.com or reach out to any of the Board members!

What can the PTO do for you and your Dragons?
If there is anything you'd like to see the PTO doing differently, would like to suggest new events, or have any feedback, our ears are wide open! Please email the PTO President, Liz Normand, and duffypto@gmail.com and I'll share all input with the Board and others as appropriate. You can also drop anonymous feedback in the mail slot next to the entry to the school office.

Clothing Donations Needed
We currently have two needs for clothing donations: additional snow pants for the Duffy Closet, to be used for students who need them, and underwear for the school nurse to use in the event of accidents. There is use for all sizes of snow pants and for assorted sizes for boys and girls underwear. Finally, our school nurse, Mrs. Addamo, has asked for a warm blanket if possible. She noted that it's especially nice to have for our students that are not well and having chills. If you have any of these items to donate, you can drop them off at the school office. Thank you to those who have already donated snow pants!

The Duffy Community is coming together for the Duffy Citizens of Equity Project. This is a challenge to keep flexing and stretching our muscles beyond kindness for a better world for all.  Follow along with our calendar for opportunities to collectively learn and grow in and out of school with activities and discussions and so much more. The fun begins Monday, January 9th and will end on Friday, January 28th. We have a number of resources in addition to our calendar to share together.

Included in the challenge is an ongoing project to collect recipes rooted in the different cultures of all our Duffy families. This project will continue throughout the year and culminate in something we can all share. You can share recipe details, stories about the recipe, and even videos.

We are so very excited to start this year making our community the best it can be!
