PTO Annual Donations--We Can Do It!
We have 348 families at Duffy School and currently only 18 have donated to our annual donation drive. We can do better than that! Help us reach (or surpass!) our $2,000 goal so we can plan exciting and important programming for all Duffy families this year.
To make your annual donation, go to Konstella and click on the “Fundraising” tab (or click Here), then click on the donate button.

New! Help for Mr. Dan
As many of you might know a member of our Duffy Community is in need of our help and support. You might not know Mr. Dan, but your child(ren) definitely does. Everyone who knows Mr. Dan loves Mr. Dan. He not only does the before-school KidsLink, and the afterschool KidsLink, but is also a teaching assistant all day long at Duffy, working with individual students one-on-one.
Earlier this month, in October, Dan was crossing the street after taking the bus home and was struck by a truck. While Dan is okay, he has a broken arm and cannot work. A gofundme page has been set up (click
here). All money raised will go directly to Dan to help pay bills and supplement his income.
We will also be collecting cards, if your child would like to make one. Please have them bring the card(s) school and drop it off in the office.
Duffy "Ski/Snowboard Wednesday" Program - FINAL WEEK TO REGISTER - DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28!!
Registration is in its final week for the "Ski/Snowboard Wednesday" Program. We are back for another year on the slopes of Ski Sundown, starting in January 2023. More information, including costs, dates/times, lift and lesson packages, transportation options, and more can be found using

Bus availability is limited — first come, first served. Parents will need to complete a multi-step process for registration, mandatory waiver forms (2), and payment details.

Wolfpack night

It’s that time of year to stock up on Duffy Spirit Wear! Show your Duffy spirit this fall and winter and support the PTO with your purchases. Complete your orders by October 31 and your items will be delivered by Thanksgiving break. Don't wait!

Raffle basket ticket sales begin TOMORROW!! Every child will be sent home with a flyer showcasing the items in each basket and directions on how to purchase tickets. Our six baskets this year are:

Committee Spotlight
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee works to serve every one of our Duffy citizens. This year the committee is co-chaired by Tracy Wu Fastenberg, Francesca Knerr, and Kristin Churila. (Snaps to all three of you for being willing to fill this important role!) There will be occasional meetings throughout the year, so keep an eye out for those to be announced. Last year, the committee sponsored the Welcome Back Ice Cream Social, Souper Bowl Food Drive, Illuminate West Hartford, and shared resources for special affinity months. All are welcome to join the EDI committee on Konstella, whether you want to help, want to learn, or both.
