Garden Committee Planning Call

There will be a call on Monday, March 6 at 7pm to kick off planning for the Spring including clean up days, what to plant, and improvements we may want to make to the Duffy garden. Everyone is welcome to join! Use this Google Meet link.

November Conference Week is Here!

Due to the generosity of the Duffy community, we are so close to filling the food donation sign up to provide the teachers and staff with snacks and breakfast next week. A catered lunch will also be provided by the PTO.

There is still a need for breakfast items and homemade baked goods. Please sign up here. Breakfast items should be delivered to the Duffy office any time on Thursday, 3/9 and will be served at a staff breakfast early Friday morning.

The teachers and staff look forward to these meals and snacks during conference week, and we cannot make this happen without your support. Thank you for helping to treat our wonderful teachers and staff!

Yard Goats Game

Duffy families will convene at the Yard Goats Game on Friday, May 5! We've reserved a block of tickets which will go on sale March 27th. There is more information to follow.

We are building next year's PTO Board

We are looking for a parent/guardian who is excited about Duffy and has good communication skills to be next year's Vice President. This role could also be shared between two people. This role is essential to the operations of PTO and is a wonderful opportunity to get familiar with PTO activities and school staff. If you are interested in getting involved, please email current VP Dawn Gagliardi or Kim Molinaro.

Duffy Chess Team Takes Second Place in State Team Championships!

On Saturday, five Duffy students took part in the Connecticut State Team Championships. After five competitive rounds, our dragons took home second place for primary schools! Congratulations to kindergartener Sophia M, and third graders James M, Anton KG, Will S, and William D for making Duffy proud! Interested in joining, and learning more about chess? It's not too late to register for the current session! Click here to register. The Duffy chess club meets on Fridays after school.

NEW! - The Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser is BACK…with a new spin!

This year it’s a March Madness competition between grades! Between March 12th and March 16th, students are encouraged to sell as much popcorn as they can through their grade’s Pop-Up Store (links below). The grade that sells the most popcorn will win EXTRA RECESS!

This virtual fundraiser is 100% contactless, Duffy keeps 50% of the profits and the product ships directly to the buyer…not to mention the popcorn is delicious! Please share the link with family and friends when the Pop-Up Stores are live next week!
