🏈 2026 Souper Bowl Food Drive 🥫
February 2nd – 6th | Duffy Elementary School
It’s almost time!!! The EDI Committee is bringing back the Duffy “SOUPER BOWL” Food Drive for 2026! February 2nd to 6th we will be collectingnon-perishable food items, other basic necessities, and notes/drawings of cheer and kindness to support the House of Bread in Hartford and the West Hartford Food Pantry. “Vote” for your Super Bowl team by placing items on your team’s respective table near the front entrance. During this time Duffy Dragons will have opportunities in and out of school to learn about resources and ways to support friends and neighbors.
Duffy Dragons have correctly chosen the Super Bowl winner 3 out of the last 4 years via the Souper Bowl—can we do again this year?
Sign up to volunteer or join the EDI Committee via Konstella. Let’s make an impact on our community together!

A Workshop on Having Difficult Conversations with Your Elementary Student
Thursday, February 5th | 6:00PM–7:30 PM | Duffy Elementary School
Join the Office of Equity Advancement and Duffy EDI for an interactive workshop designed to support parents in having meaningful and sometimes challenging conversations with their elementary-aged children about differences.
This session will offer a safe and supportive space for families to explore strategies for engaging in these discussions, share experiences and perspectives with other parents, and reflect on their own comfort levels and approaches.
Participants will leave with practical language, everyday tools, and actionable strategies to build confidence and continue these important conversations at home.
Facilitated by Shaena Gray LCSW, Family & Community Engagement Coordinator, WHPS. Hosted by the EDI Committee. For Duffy parents / caregivers.
