THANK YOU to all of those who were able to join us for the Welcome Back Social! A very special extra thank you to our volunteers as well. We were thrilled to see so many Duffy families celebrate the start of the school year together as a supportive, diverse community.

We always welcome volunteers for any of the work we do. Event organizing, community building, communication, artistic abilities, research and beyond...Many skills can be applied to what we are doing. More information on what we do and how you can help.

Whether you want to help or want to learn or both, don't hesitate to reach out to one of our co-chairs, Tracy Wu Fastenberg, Thao Hau or join the Committee via Konstella.

Please enjoy some Duffy Dragons' answers to the two questions on the event "ticket" from the Welcome Back Social!

Equity diversity, and inclusion is about...celebrating what makes YOU special. celebrating what makes EVERYONE ELSE special. treating everyone with fairness.

What's something you're proud of that makes you unique and special?

"My heritage." -- Sophia, grade 5

"I play with lots of different friends." -- Rory, K

"I speak more than one language." -- Hiba, grade 4

"My name." -- Adler, grade 3

Name one way you can make Duffy a more fair place for everyone.

"Making our circle bigger." -- Ella, grade 1

"Giving everyone fair chances." --Natalie, grade 4

"Say no to others when they are making wrong decisions." -- Casey, grade 2

"No bullying." -- Grace, grade 4

Fall Decor Donation Drive
Help us make Duffy beautiFALL! As you and your family head out to local orchards in the coming weeks, consider picking up an extra mum or pumpkin! We will use your donation to make the front of Duffy look festive and fun! Donations can be dropped off at 5 Foot Path Lane, in the side yard to the right of the driveway. Don't have time to shop for decor? Consider making a small donation via venmo to @Katherine-Zukis with the subject Duffy Fall Decor.

After two partially-virtual school years, our amazing Duffy Volunteer Coordinators, Shannon Pecorelli (Asher, 3rd) and Tiffany Dammarell (Emma, 1st) are REbuilding (events are back!), REtraining (we have amazing, energetic new volunteers!), and REimagining (so much is possible!). We hope they REmember how much they are valued.*
