New date and times!  Pie Pickup - November 23rd @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm OR 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Pie and cookie pick up date and times have changed due to delays from production plant.

Pick up will be drive thru this year.  Please pull into the green parking lot and pull through the entire parking lot.  Pick up will be closer to the exit, hoping to be as little disruption as possible to school dismissal.  Pies will be loaded into the trunk of your car.

***Monday 11/23 is the ONLY day for pick up!!***

Raffle Basket Fundraiser

In lieu of a Parents' Night Out 2020 Fundraiser, we will be raffling off themed baskets in December.  We need your help to fill the baskets! We are requesting the following:

  1. Small monetary donation (even $1 helps!) by sending cash in your child’s folder in an envelope labeled “Raffle Donation” or via Venmo @JennaMMcClure

  1. An item corresponding with the theme of any of the baskets.

Click here for full details and drop off instructions.

New!  Virtual Roundtable Series

A friendly reminder that the EDI committee is looking to host a series of virtual roundtable discussions around a variety of topics this academic year for all Duffy families, but we need your input as to what will be most meaningful to the Duffy Community. Please let us know by completing a short (1 minute!) survey, which will be closing 11/19.

New!  EDI Resources

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity Committee is pleased to share a "library" of EDI resources to help support Duffy families in learning more about various topics and issues.  You can also find the link in Konstella.   This cache is a living document, and we welcome suggestions for additions or requests for resources by emailing Tracy Wu Fastenberg

New!  Membership

As always, we welcome new members at any time. Please feel free to reach out to either Heidi Hojnicki or Tracy Wu Fastenberg for more information, or if you have questions.

New!  Important Dates

November 12 – 16: Diwali

November 16: UN International Day of Tolerance

November 20: Transgender Day of Remembrance

New!  Coats and Winter Items
The Duffy Closet stocks new and gently used clothing for students that need a little support. The closet currently needs a restock of winter coats, snow pants, boots and accessories (hats, gloves) for school age students - especially in 4th and 5th grade sizes.
If you have items in good shape to donate, please send them in with your child and their teacher will arrange for a front office pick up.
New!  Mask Donations
While the school system provides daily disposable masks to students in need of them, many find the cloth options more comfortable. Duffy is seeking donations of NEW masks in their original unopened packaging for those students who do not have a supply. The Old Navy masks ($12.50 for a pack of 5) are preferred because they fit little faces so well, but any cloth masks are so appreciated.
Please send any packaged NEW mask donations in with your child and their teacher will arrange for a front office pick up. If you’d like to donate but don’t have time to shop, we are also accepting Venmo donations and we will do the shopping for you.  Any amount helps! Donations can be made via Venmo (please note “Duffy masks” in the text area): @DianaYorkavich
New!  Helpers Needed

Each year, the Duffy Service Projects committee provides assistance to families in our school community during the holiday season in the form of holiday gifts for children. This is fully funded by our generous committee volunteers.

If you are interested in helping spread some cheer, please email Lauren O’Meara by November 20th.

You will receive more information about this committee and different ways you can help us make the holidays a bit brighter in our school community.
