Holiday Helpers

Each year the Duffy Service Projects committee assists local families during the holidays by filling children’s wish lists. If you are interested in helping this year, please email Shannon Pecorelli and/or Diana Yorkavich for more information on how you can help.

New!  Scholastic Book Fair Week - November 29th - December 3rd

The Scholastic Book Fair is a great opportunity to purchase books while benefiting the school as a fundraiser! All classes will preview the book fair and have the option to purchase books during the school day. This year the book fair will also be online. Click here for online ordering and here for more details.

New!  Gently Used Children’s Book Drive - December 6th - 10th

Duffy Dragons will be participating in our annual “Get a Book, Give a Book” celebration in December. In order to build our selection of books to choose from, please consider donating gently used children’s books during our book drive. A collection bin for donations will be located in the main lobby.  During the week of December 20th, all Duffy Dragons will have the opportunity to pick out a gently used book for winter break reading as well as choose one to wrap and bring home to give as a gift for a sibling, neighbor, friend, relative, etc. Share the JOY of reading!

Bingo Night Volunteer

Do you have a knack for coordinating events? If so, the Duffy PTO is in need of your help.  We are looking for one or two volunteers to shadow Jenn O’Connell in the coordinating of Duffy BINGO night, with the plan of chairing or co-chairing the event next year. Bingo night is scheduled to take place on February 10th and will be virtual.  The staff at Duffy do most of the planning for the event, your job would  simply be to coordinate logistics with the staff, send out communications and coordinate prizes.  Thank you for considering volunteering your time to keep Family Bingo Night a fun tradition for our Duffy community.  If you are interested and/or have any questions please email Shannon Pecorelli and/or Tiffany Dammarell.

Your PTO Needs Co-Vice Presidents!

Your Duffy PTO is in immediate need of two engaged parents/guardians to serve as Co-Vice President this year. The position would mainly involve shadowing Sarah Dolan on emails, etc. to learn the role of President and to then serve as Co-Presidents next year. Sarah's term will end this spring and the vacancy must be filled for the PTO to continue delivering events and enrichment opportunities for our kids. There's no time like the present to get involved! If interested, please email Shannon Pecorelli and/or Tiffany Dammarell.

James Scott has been the Duffy PTO Treasurer for a number of years and he is an unsung hero. Not every PTO board has a bona fide numbers guy crunching their numbers, but we do! So all the money our amazing Duffy community donates is in Quickbooks-capable, spreadsheet-competent, budget-neutralizing hands! Thank you, James, for keeping us fiscally sound and helping us understand and manage the Duffy coffers.

One Year, One Time! If you want to submit a shout-out to someone making Duffy better, please email Sarah Dolan, PTO President.
