SOUPER BOWL UPDATE!
Duffy Dragons did it again! THANK YOU!
We asked, the Duffy Community answered…with a whopping 1,239 items to support our neighbors in West Hartford and beyond through the work done at West Hartford Food Pantry and House of Bread!!!
Dragons favored the Patriots to win this year’s Super Bowl with 788 items, but the Seahawks still had a great showing on this opposite coast with 451!
The EDI Committee extends huge thanks to all of the students and families who brought in donations and wrote notes/pictures, Duffy staff, SCSS students for all of the counting, and family volunteers. Many hands coming together is what community is all about.
If you wish to continue your conversations at home, or are seeking resources for yourself or others, these will continue to be available.

We're shaking things up and trying something new, so book those sitters and get ready for the Duffy Disco!
Costumes are NOT required, we want you to wear what makes you feel your best! There will be food, one hour of open bar, and a dance floor with music from DJ Red Supreme.
All funds raised will continue to support our amazing Duffy community. Thank you for your support and see you on the dance floor!

🏒 Duffy Night at the Hartford Wolf Pack
Friday, February 20 | 7:00 PM | XL Center
Rare opportunity to ride a Zamboni when you come support the Duffy Chorus as they perform the National Anthem pregame and join Duffy families for a fun night of hockey cheering on the Hartford Wolf Pack as they take on the Utica Comets. 
If you are joining Duffy night at the Hartford Wolfpack game on Friday 2/20 (tickets still available) and want a chance to ride a Zamboni during intermission, join our raffle!
$1 per entry* venmo @DuffyPTO by end of day Thursday 2/19.
Add a note if you want a specific name included (e.g. for my 2 kids, I will send $2 and list both of their names to be added in the raffle)
2 winners will be randomly chosen and notified the morning of Friday 2/20! Come see who won during intermission 😃

DUFFY CLUBS
🧑🍳BAKING CLUB🥐
Fourth Grade Baking Club will begin on February 24! Sessions will be held on Tuesdays February 24, March 3, 10, and 17 from 3:20 - 4:30 p.m. Students will learn to make cookies, scones, muffins, and pizza rolls! Registration opens on February 10. See flyer for details!

THE DUFFY FAIR 2026!
Planning for this year's Duffy Fair is underway and we will have our first planning committee discussion this Wednesday, February 11, 8:30-9:30!
The agenda for this first meeting is to review the feedback from last year's fair, brainstorm ideas for any new activities, and decide what vendors need to be booked.

Member at Large
A great way to get involved and stay connected to the PTO without committing to a specific role. Members at Large are included in PTO board communications on Konstella, help out with events and projects as needed, and get a chance to see how different roles and committees work, making it a natural stepping stone into a future PTO position.
Recording Secretary
Join as a Recording Secretary for the Duffy PTO. Join us in the PTO meetings and record our minutes to help us stay organized!

💚 DUFFY CARES: OUTREACH & SUPPORT COMMITTEE
This committee supports Duffy families and students who may need extra help throughout the year, from providing clothing and school supplies through the Duffy Closet to organizing assistance during holidays and back-to-school season. Volunteers help plan and coordinate these initiatives, ensuring every family feels cared for and connected.

Spring is coming! We’re excited to renew our focus on enhancing our school grounds and play areas through meaningful parent and student involvement. Our mission is to bring the Duffy community together by caring for our gardens and supporting seasonal beautification projects that make our school greener, more welcoming, and inspiring for all students.
