⚾ DUFFY NIGHT at HARTFORD YARD GOATS 🧢
Friday, May 1st | 7:10pm | Dunkin Donuts Park

Come together with the Duffy Community to cheer on the Hartford Yard Goats while they take on the Reading Fightin' Phils!  Tickets are now on sale through Konstella.  Be sure to purchase your tickets before April 10th!

Talent Show info:

The 5th Grade students and staff are excited to announce a Duffy Talent Show will be coming this spring! Submissions are open until April 8th for all Duffy Fourth and Fifth Graders! 
Group and solo acts 3 minutes or less are welcome! 
We are looking for:

• TALENTS you may be interested in sharing on STAGE (singing, dancing, juggling, rapping, yo-yoing...we want to show any talent you have!)
• TALENTS you may be interested in sharing in the LOBBY (artwork, hand-made items...we want to display it all!)
• TALENTS you may be interested in lending to PRODUCE the show (set design, program design, lighting, stage managing, prop design...we want everyone to be involved!)

Note: At this time we can allow for one solo and one group act per student. However, this may be subject to change depending on submissions.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Duffy Girl Scouts are supporting The Village by collecting NEW donated baby items for their Mother's Day Baby Shower which supports over 70 mothers who wouldn't otherwise have a baby shower.  Donations are being accepted starting April 1st-April 29th.  Please see the flyer below to see what items are in need and how to donate.  Thank you!

KIDSLINK BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Kidslink Enrollment & Webster Hill Pilot

Kidslink enrollment for new families for the 2026-2027 school year opens on Monday, April 6, at 12:00 p.m. Learn more and enroll here. At the time of enrollment, if you do not see Duffy listed as an option on the application, it means that the program is currently full. Email Stacey Sherwood to be placed on the waitlist at staceys@ywcahartford.org.

Given the demand for aftercare at Duffy, this year Kidslink is launching a new pilot program that will open up 30 additional slots to families on the Duffy waitlist by providing a bus to Webster Hill. Families enrolled in the pilot program will be responsible for a bus fee. Families in the pilot will remain on the waitlist for a spot at Duffy. When a spot becomes available at Duffy, families will be contacted in numerical order and given the option to transfer back to Duffy or remain at Webster Hill.

To enroll in the pilot, families must first sign up for the Duffy waitlist. They will then be contacted by Kidslink and offered the option of joining the pilot program. For additional questions about the pilot, please contact Camelia Lopez at camelial@ywcahartford.org.

JOIN THE DUFFY PTO 

Member at Large
A great way to get involved and stay connected to the PTO without committing to a specific role. Members at Large are included in PTO board communications on Konstella, help out with events and projects as needed, and get a chance to see how different roles and committees work, making it a natural stepping stone into a future PTO position.

Recording Secretary
Join as a Recording Secretary for the Duffy PTO.  Join us in the PTO meetings and record our minutes to help us stay organized!

💚 DUFFY CARES
OUTREACH & SUPPORT COMMITTEE

This committee supports Duffy families and students who may need extra help throughout the year, from providing clothing and school supplies through the Duffy Closet to organizing assistance during holidays and back-to-school season. Volunteers help plan and coordinate these initiatives, ensuring every family feels cared for and connected.

🌿 DUFFY GARDEN COMMITTEE

Spring is coming! We’re excited to renew our focus on enhancing our school grounds and play areas through meaningful parent and student involvement. Our mission is to bring the Duffy community together by caring for our gardens and supporting seasonal beautification projects that make our school greener, more welcoming, and inspiring for all students.
