Sunday is the last day of our Read-a-thon, so have your child grab his or her favorite book and read, read, read! Are you on the go with sports and activities this weekend? No problem. Take a book along and track the minutes in between. We are so excited to see how much reading our Duffy dragons can achieve together!
This past week has been so special: seeing our children read with open books in their hands when walking into school in the morning; teachers reporting their students having increased focus while reading in the classroom; parents sharing their child’s excitement to read as much as they can and try different reading options at home. The list goes on. It has made this event so rewarding.
It’s time to celebrate! All of our children will receive a pack of reading-themed stickers on Monday, winners of the book competition will be announced on Friday, and our Reading Celebration Day with the bounce house obstacle course is being scheduled.
Last important details:
- Students may read, track minutes, and make donations up until midnight on Sunday, April 23rd.
- If you completed a paper tracker or have any cash/check donations, please hand them into the office by Monday, April 24th in an envelope labeled Read-a-thon. Include your child’s name and teacher name. Checks can be made out to the Duffy PTO.
Many thanks again for all of your support!
