The training is designed to set parents and community members up for the upcoming legislative session. The agenda will include basic education about how school funding and the legislative process works, specific information about upcoming legislation, and training in effective advocacy. Presenters will include Superintendent Kimberlee Armstrong, K-12 education funding advocates, youth leadership, and state lawmakers.
WHAT: Advocacy Training event designed to prepare parents and public school advocates for the upcoming legislative session. The goal is to walk away understanding how school funding and the legislative process works, learn specific information about upcoming legislation, and get training in effective advocacy.
