We’re gathering input from families in the Llewellyn, Duniway and Lewis communities, as well as current 6th and 7th grade families at Sellwood Middle School to provide real stories and data that can shape the conversation around the proposed closure of Sellwood Middle School. Portland Public Schools is projecting that Sellwood Middle School’s enrollment will decline by 33% by 2035. However, we know that our community is full of families who intend to send their kids to Sellwood, and the children who will attend middle school in 2035 are already toddlers and preschoolers! Others currently attend or would attend Sellwood in the years to come. Let’s provide real data from real community members to SAVE SELLWOOD.
