Legislative Hearings on Special Education Bills - Share Your Stories and Testify!
Mon, Feb 17 3:00pm-5:00pm
Oregon State Capitol - Hearing Room (HR) B

The Oregon State House Committee on Education is holding hearings on 3 important Special Education bills and you have the opportunity to have your voice heard!

As we saw on Monday  night, at the SE PPS Funding Forum,

we are speaking up and they are listening!

At these public hearings, you have an opportunity to submit written testimony or register to testify:

  • (HB 2953) Removing the percentage cap on dollars distributed to school districts for student eligible for special education services.
  • (HB 2682) The establishment of an advisory committee to develop recommendations to modernize adequate service levels for early intervention and early childhood special education.
  • (HB2448) Increasing the amount of annual dollars transferred to the High Cost Disabilities Account from the State School Fund.

You can learn more about this incredible opportunity (see attached flyer) and register to testify here.  When you speak up, you are speaking up for all Oregonian children.

In solidarity for our children and our public schools,
