Here are some events happening this week where you can SHOW UP and SHOW SUPPORT. #savepdxschools
October 29 @ 6:00 PM: PPS Board Community Connection at Marshall High School
October 31 @ 4:00 PM: Frightsizing Trick or Treat at Sellwood Middle School
What is the Frightsizing Block Party on 10/31?
Join us outside Sellwood Middle School (along SE 15th Ave) for trick-or-treating. Snag info about PPS's Rightsizing plan and learn how to protect our neighborhood school.
Why would Rightsizing Sellwood Middle School have real Frightsizing effects on our community?
Sellwood has strong enrollment, healthy class sizes, and high achievement. Losing our neighborhood school weakens local businesses and drains the vitality of our area.
When does the clock strike midnight on this decision?
The Superintendent presents recommendations on November 17th, followed by a final Board vote on December 15th.
Stop by, grab some goodies, and learn how to support our school and community, QUICKLY!
Bonus points if you write to the PPS Board or leaders, asking them to pause school closures until communities receive impact studies on our students and neighborhoods! (https://savepdxschools.org/
