Join PPS for a Special Education Funding Advocacy Day!

While there is a bill in process this legislative session to remove the 11% special education cap on school funding for special education needs, there is a separate bill to fund the increase costs associated with removing this funding cap.  We need our state to pass both bills to ensure access to these legally mandated critical resources for our children in 2025 - 2027.

PPS and the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) are hosting training on Special Education:

• Learn about statewide special education from Tenneal Wetherell, ODE Chief of Staff
• Hear tips on relationship building with our legislators and how to best share your personal stories
• Gain an introduction to lawmaking and state finance
