Thank you for an amazing Frightsizing Block Party at Sellwood Middle School!
What a night! Hundreds of trick-or-treaters, neighbors and families filled SE 15th in front of Sellwood Middle on Halloween. Thank you to everyone who lent tables, donated candy, staffed a table, set up, cleaned up, or just showed up (in costume or not).
And people noticed. Two TV news crews (KGW and KATU) came out to cover the event, and Superintendent Armstrong stopped by to see our community for herself.
This is what our advocacy can do. An idea that started in a parent text thread just two weeks ago put our neighborhood schools in front of decision-makers and on the evening news. Every letter, phone call, sign and hour you’ve given adds up, and it’s being heard.
