Auction Co-Chairs Needed!
Calling all parents!! The Duniway Auction is looking for Auction Co-Chairs to help bring our 28th annual Spring Auction to life! Co-Chairs help set the date and theme, coordinate the overall event, and support and manage committee leads.
Why does the Auction matter?
The Auction is one of the Foundation’s biggest fundraisers, helping provide opportunities and resources that go beyond what PPS funding can cover. Last year, our Spring Auction and Art Show raised more than $150,000, helping fund programs like OMSI Outdoor School overnight camp through 2028–29, a part time Educational Assistant, Reading Results with support from the PTA, teacher and volunteer academic enrichment programs, classroom art project, and school improvement projects.
Last year, our chairs thought outside the box and created an inclusive block party style that put our amazing teachers and staff at the center of the celebration. The next chairs can make it their own, too! And you won't be starting from scratch, many of our past auction chairs are still part of the Duniway community and are ready to share their knowledge and experience.

Procurement Committee Signed Up: 0 / 10Help us procure some live and silent auction items! We have an amazing list of previous donors and we’re excited to add even more generous businesses and family donations. Your important work on this committee helps us gather items and experiences to sell before and during the auction and contributes to a sizable portion of our fundraising.
This is also a great option if you prefer a light lift and you can volunteer at home or from work, at your leisure.

Beverage Committee Signed Up: 0 / 4Secure beverage sponsors for the event! We’re looking for donated beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages from local or regional brands in exchange for recognition. Includes outreach (with support from our prior donor list) and coordinating bartenders and drink delivery to the event.

Food Committee Signed Up: 0 / 2Help us bring great food to the party! We’re looking for volunteers to connect us with local food carts or restaurants that can cater onsite (no kitchen). This role involves securing two food partners (paid) capable of serving 100–150 guests and collaborating with them to shape a fun, crowd-pleasing menu for the event.

Promotions & Design Committee Signed Up: 0 / 4Help us spread the word and build excitement for the auction and ticket sales through Duniway and broader community channels. This role includes promoting the event via newsletters and social media, creating and sharing design materials (signage, bid cards, social posts, etc.), and helping amplify our reach.

Sign Up Parties Committee Signed Up: 0 / 4Help us get on everyone’s social calendar! This committee seeks generous party hosts (usually fellow Duniway families or faculty). These fun events are featured at the auction (and online) for donors to purchase tickets and attend throughout the spring, summer and fall after the auction is over. Examples: Dinner parties, wine nights, group workout classes & more!

Event Decor & Staging Committee Signed Up: 0 / 10Looking for creative volunteers to help transform the space and truly make it shine. This team will curate décor and oversee day-of setup (with other volunteers). We’ll also need help sourcing and coordinating rentals like tables, chairs (or borrow some from generous Duniway families), string lights and a festive photo backdrop.

Event Volunteers Committee Signed Up: 0 / 10Just like it sounds! We need a chair to help coordinate day-of volunteers: Set up, event volunteers and tear-down. Work with Duniway families and partners at Alameda Elementary on our volunteer swap.

Live Auction Committee Signed Up: 0 / 2Help shape and produce the live program of the evening, in partnership with a talented emcee/auctioneer, last year it was Ryan an Jon. This team will craft the flow, energy, and momentum of the night — announcing raffle winners, hosting Heads or Tails, managing live auction bidding on items sourced by the Procurement Committee, and leading an inspiring paddle raise that drives our fundraising goals.
