Reminders:
Pilot Day and the Paper Airplane Flight Contest are tomorrow (Thursday 5/22)! And Dress Like An Aviator Day is on Friday May 23rd!

🚁 Pilot Day and Paper Airplane Contest – Thursday, May 22:

We are honored to welcome back a former Amelia Earhart Elementary student, now a professional pilot. She will return to campus along with fellow pilots from The Ninety-Nines (99s)—an international organization of women pilots. They’ll make brief introductions, answer questions, and then join students for lunch and help out with our paper airplane contest!

✈️Paper Airplane Flight Contest - Thursday, May 22:
The Paper Airplane Flight Contest is open to all Earhart Students. Students who wish to participate in the Flight Contest must make their own paper airplane using only a single sheet of paper.  Students may not make any modifications to the plane by adding anything to the plane.  Do not include your name on your paper airplane. Only write your student/lineup number and classroom number (e.g. 12, 302) on your plane. This helps us mark where your plane lands, quickly and efficiently.

Preliminaries will take place at each grade level lunch in grades 1 – 5. The top 3 winners from each grade level advance to the finals.  Grades 1 and 2 will compete in the first set of finals.  Grades 3 – 5 will compete in the second set of finals. The finals will take place last hour on Thursday 5/22.

TK and Kinder will hold their own contest on their yard.

👩‍✈️ Dress Like an Aviator Day - Friday, May 23:
Show your school spirit and creativity by dressing like an aviator to cap off Amelia Earhart Week!
