Join us for a fun day of walking or running laps around the blacktop to raise money for our school's Science Program! All pledges and donations will help keep hands-on science learning alive at Earhart. Every lap and every donation supports our dedicated science teacher, lab materials, and exciting experiments that inspire our young scientists. Lace up, have fun, and trot for science! 

Our fundraising goal for this event is $25,000! This amount will nearly close our science funding gap for this school year!

🦃 Students who create their PledgeStar page and raise $60 (either by flat fee donation or receive at least two donor pledges of $1 per lap)
by NOVEMBER 7th receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt for the event!!


HOW IT WORKS

1. All pledges and donations will be collected online (via PledgeStar). Donors will get to choose a flat-fee donation or $ per lap amount to sponsor their student(s). The default goal is $60 per student to reach our goal of $25,000! (NOTE: The minimum number of laps which a donor will be billed is 30 laps. There is no maximum amount of laps.)  

2. For pledges or donations to count towards prizes, they need to be received by Friday, November 21st 

3. On the day of the Turkey Trot, each class will run/walk around the black top located between the portables (same area where the Halloween parade takes place). Parent volunteers will be tasked with providing markers to students for each lap they complete. The total number of laps completed will be inputted into each student’s profile. 

4. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. Students who meet the fundraising goal of $60 (by flat fee donation or two $1 pledges) by November 7th will be provided their Turkey Trot T-shirt on the day of the run and are encouraged to throw on their shirt while they complete their laps! 

5. Families are encouraged to attend and encourage all students as they complete their laps!

PRIZES!! 

Students must have their pledges in by Friday, November 21st to be eligible for prizes.

• 80% classroom participation = PAJAMA PARTY & MOVIE IN CLASS

• 90% schoolwide participation = MR. DUNN RUIZ WEARS INFLATABLE TURKEY COSTUME FOR THE DAY OF THE TURKEY TROT

• Grade level wide fundraising contribution of $3000 = PIZZA PARTY FOR THE GRADE

• School wide fundraising contribution of $25,000 = EXTRA HOUR OF PLAY FOR THE WHOLE SCHOOL

• The top two fundraising individuals in each classroom will receive an individual prize! = A SELECTION OF SWAG FROM THE EARHART SPIRIT SHOP
