Coordinate and plan the second (of two) major annual fundraisers for PTA. In its first year, the Read-A-Thon raised over $90,000! Read-A-Thon planning typically begins after Winter break and occurs in March/April, concluding before Spring Break.
Responsibilities include:
-Determining fundraising goals
-Setup Pledgestar account
-Assemble instructions & pledge envelopes
-Promote the event at school (posters, morning ceremony announcements, etc.)
-Organize contests
-Provide updates to PTA and school

Other ideas have included a book swap, a literary night, or a mini book fair to kick off read-a-thon. The possibilities are countless, and you get to decide what we do.
