OCTOBER 17 - 21, 2022

Edison Climate Week is an opportunity for Edison otters and their families to think and act green. It is not a fundraiser. There are lots of ways for students and their families to participate:

🎉 SPECIAL EVENTS 🎉

👻🎃🧟‍♀️ Fri, Oct 14 | 3-6 PM | Halloween Costume exchange

Kick off Climate Week with a costume exchange on the grass after school on Friday. Students are encouraged to borrow or make costumes this year for a Green Halloween. The Green Halloween fairy will be giving out Ottercards for reused and homemade costumes!

🍃🌳🌎 Thurs, Oct. 20 | Green Spirit Day

Every Otter wears GREEN to school to show their climate spirit!

📆  EVENTS ALL WEEK  📆

📚 In our Classrooms

Edison Teachers K-5 + Music and PE leads will be incorporating climate-themed lessons, games and practices. K and 1st grade classes will get special lessons on sorting waste.

🍕 Bring your Zero Waste Lunch or Be a Superstar Sorter

Go Green parents will be coming by at lunch with hand stamps to “check in” on how we’re doing towards meeting our Zero Waste lunchtime goals.

👟 Fall Sneaker Drive

This year we are once again teaming up with www.projectsole.org. ALL TYPES OF USED/WORN SHOES can be donated. Bins available at Edison, and a few homes, all week.

♻️ Recycling/Reuse Collection

We’ll be collecting the following items on the blacktop before school, and at a few homes.
