PTA Association Meeting - Edison 101 (With Fifth Grade Student Speakers!)
Tue, Sep 17 6:30pm-8:30pm
Edison Elementary
7 days before, 1 day before
Update: Free LiveScan will be offered at this meeting!
In response to popular demand, it's EDISON 101!
Many people have asked for more information about how Edison really works, and this is your opportunity to find out! Principal Sahakian will provide an Edison 101 session, leading into the highlight of the evening: a panel discussion from the real Edison experts — our fifth graders.
You’ll hear about money, staffing, program development, AUSD finances, services for students with special needs, and so much more.  The fifth graders will give you their views on what aspects of Edison are most meaningful to then, what makes Edison special, and advice they may have for new otters.  This is a rare opportunity for parents of younger children to get a kids' perspective on what life is REALLY like at Edison.
Have a question? Want to flag an issue and find out what the district is doing? Always wondered where the money goes?  Want to find out what kids really think about homework or field trips or school projects?  This is your chance!  Questions can be raised in advance by emailing
In addition, this is also a great time to sign up for volunteer opportunities and PTA committees - many of our committees will have tables and sign-ups!  We'll also have free Live Scan so you can get fingerprinted!

Snacks and babysitting provided.  AGENDA BELOW.

Note: At this meeting we will vote on PTA Bylaws and Amendments.
