Many Edison volunteer opportunities require that you have completed LiveScan (which processes your fingerprints and background check.)  Examples include being a garden or art docent for your student's classroom, volunteering regularly in class, helping with Kindergarten motor fitness, and being a field trip driver (e.g., occasions when you are with students but not directly supervised by teachers or administrators.) 

To make it easier for our families, we've arranged for Alameda Island Notary to be at our PTA meeting on Tuesday, Sept 19 from 6:00-8:00pm  to process your Livescan.   (Note: this starts 30 mins prior to the scheduled PTA meeting, which commences at 6:30pm)  Livescan is valid for the duration of the time you are in AUSD.  If you are interested, please sign up for a 15-min appointment slot and make sure that you have the following items when you arrive at the MPR:

1. Completed Volunteer Agreement and LiveScan forms as per the attached, or reference the Edison Express email from Sept 8  
2. Current driver's license, state ID, or passport
3. Cash, check, Venmo, or Cash App for $74 (PTA can reimburse up to ~25 individuals for this fee if it presents a financial hardship using this reimbursement form.) They can also accept credit cards, but additional fees will apply.

Please submit the completed forms to Nicci Woodward at the front office by the end of September. 

Note- You will also need a TB test to complete requirements for weekly in-class volunteering, motor fitness, or garden/art docent.  If you are having difficulty getting your TB Assessment filled out, here is a link to a list of low/no-cost providers in Alameda County.
