Description
The End-of-Year Picnic Committee helps coordinate one of Edison's favorite traditions. Committee leads work together to coordinate games, activities, food, and shared resources while providing historical knowledge and guidance from previous years.
What We Do
Recommend and support grade-level coordinators for three end of year picnic (K & 3rd, 1st & 2nd, and 4th & 5th).
- Coordinate with teachers to lock down dates + formats
- Hand-off to Room Parents the dates, times/themes (e.g. breakfast + morning play, lunch + afternoon play), and planning guides
- Track shared resources between picnic days, such as reusable plates, games, equipment, beverage containers
- After the fact: handle any common reimbursements
- Preserve historical knowledge and documentation so future committees don't have to reinvent the wheel each year.
- Support grade-level teams as questions arise and help keep planning organized.

Help organize the activity stations for the End-of-Year Picnic, including coordinating activity assignments and schedules. Activities may include wall ball, basketball, face painting, temporary tattoos, bubble station, sidewalk chalk, scavenger hunt, Red Light, Green Light, musical chairs, tug-of-war, parachute games, or other supervised activities.

Help coordinate games and equipment for the End-of-Year Picnics (corn hole, ladder toss, squirt guns, spikeball, ring toss, Giant Jenga, Velcro ball, hula hoops, parachute, Giant Connect Four, etc.) and work with the other grade groups to share equipment whenever practical.

Coordinate picnic food and beverage logistics for your assigned grade group, while working with the other Food Coordinators to share reusable greenware, water jugs, beverages, serving supplies, and other resources between picnic events whenever practical.
