What is Edison Go Green?

Edison is a state-recognized Green Ribbon school since 2020. We educate and inspire our students to care about keeping our planet clean, green, healthy and habitable, and know that they can make a difference.

What does the Go Green Committee do?

  • Support classroom activities such as waste sorting exercises and letter-writing advocacy campaigns
  • Support the zero waste lunch program, including lunchtime foodshare table and student waste monitors
  • Recycle/reuse cart collection
  • Go Green assemblies
  • Annual sneaker drives and clothing & gear swaps
  • Halloween candy wrapper collection
  • Climate Week and Earth Week events, including Trashion Fashion Show, chalk art, garbage car races, garden activities and more!
