What is Edison Go Green?
Edison is a state-recognized Green Ribbon school since 2020. We educate and inspire our students to care about keeping our planet clean, green, healthy and habitable, and know that they can make a difference.
What does the Go Green Committee do?
- Support classroom activities such as waste sorting exercises and letter-writing advocacy campaigns
- Support the zero waste lunch program, including lunchtime foodshare table and student waste monitors
- Recycle/reuse cart collection
- Go Green assemblies
- Annual sneaker drives and clothing & gear swaps
- Halloween candy wrapper collection
- Climate Week and Earth Week events, including Trashion Fashion Show, chalk art, garbage car races, garden activities and more!
