Motor Fitness incorporates balance, gross motor skills, and unique equipment like balance beams, rebounders, and rolling gliders that are not available during their regularly scheduled PE times. Motor Fitness skills are foundational for cognitive development, influencing spatial reasoning, problem solving, and overall learning abilities.
The program takes place in the MPR two Tuesday mornings per month, from 8:30-10:00 AM. The First Motor Fitness session is on Tuesday, September 23.
Volunteers will help with setting up before, managing the event during, and cleaning up after. No training or experience required, but you will need Volunteer Clearance to participate.
