Eldredge Thanksgiving Food Drive & Turkey Trot!
Thu, Nov 5 11:56am

Dear Eldredge Families,

As we head into the season of giving thanks, we are excited to kick off our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive! This year, Eldredge and Hanaford Elementary Schools are teaming up to collect non-perishable food items to support local families in need through St. Luke’s Food Pantry.

Our food drive will run from November 9th through November 20th, culminating in one of our favorite Eldredge traditions — our Annual Turkey Trot on Monday, November 23rd! During the Turkey Trot, our students will come together to celebrate the spirit of giving and donate all of the items collected to St. Luke’s Food Pantry.

How Can You Help?

Each grade has been assigned a category of food items to collect:

  • 3rd Grade – Side Dishes: Boxed potatoes, canned vegetables, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and broth.
  • 4th Grade – Baking & Treats: Pie crusts, pie fillings, cookie and cake mixes, bread mixes, canned fruit, applesauce, and cooking oil.
  • 5th Grade – Meals & Pantry Staples: Pasta, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, rice, cereal, canned chicken, tuna, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, and seasonings.

All non-perishable food donations are welcome, regardless of grade! These everyday essentials help keep the food pantry stocked and support our neighbors throughout the year.

Please send donations to school with your child between November 9th and November 20th. All items can be dropped off in your child’s homeroom. We kindly ask that you check expiration dates before donating.

Our Turkey Trot is such a special tradition because it reminds our students that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our Eagles to come together, give back, and help ensure that families in our community have food on their tables this holiday season.

Thank you, as always, for your generosity and for helping us teach our children the importance of caring for others. We are so grateful for our Eldredge community!

With gratitude,

Eldredge PTG
