Penny Power Nominations are being accepted until February 7th---

Penny Power is an opportunity to empower Escondido students to help others in any way they can. Escondido students collect loose change to benefit those less fortunate locally and around the world. We welcome anyone to suggest an international or local non-profit to be the beneficiary of Escondido's annual Penny Power campaign. Donations have ranged from $800 to $3,400 over the last few years. Nominations will be selected in February and the students will collect change in March. For questions contact Rachel Croft at

**NEW**GSYO Auditions for Youth Orchestra Musicians 

Throughout March and April at the GSYO Office: 4055 Fabian Way, Palo Alto 
Palo Alto-based Golden State Youth Orchestra invites young musicians to audition for the 2020-21 season.  Led by an internationally renowned faculty, GSYO offers six orchestras/ensembles for students at all levels of musical ability.  Members receive support from experienced coaches, and perform in concerts throughout the Bay Area. Filmmaker Dr. Delaney Ruston continues the conversation around screens and teens.  This film examines the science behind teens' emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and what can be done in our schools and homes to help teens build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.  All are welcome. **NEW**Paly Robotics Summer Camp 2020 Sign Ups Going on Now  

Jul 20 - Jul 24 and Jul 27 - Jul 31, 9A-3P at the Palo Alto High School Robotics Lab

Registration will open on January 20 at 12 PM.  

Sessions: Robot Design & Hardware, Programming, Entrepreneurship & Website Design, Animation & Graphic Design.  

This year, Paly Robotics will be offering two weeks of our annual summer camp for middle school students (incoming 6th - 9th graders).  Paly Robotics hopes to spark interest and start future high school students on a path in science, technology, engineering, art or mathematics (STEAM).  Campers will be able to sign up for one of four sessions per week.
