Unity Day at Escondido was OUTSTANDING!  Check out the many ways students and staff supported the National Anti-Bullying event.  Thank you to all of the parent volunteers, especially Jacki Kaur for leading the noon-time crafts.

Click here to see a video of the students performing an inspiring song during their special assembly.  One of the highlights of the day, the teachers serenaded the students, check it out here.  Thank you to Ms. Lea for your enthusiasm and leadership.

Safe School Zone--- When dropping-off or picking-up at the NEW & Improved traffic loop at the front of the school, please have your student exit and enter the car from the right side.  When the student exits or enters the vehicle from the right-sided it avoids having them walk around the vehicle and in between lined-up cars, both are safety risks.  Also, please be prepared to allow your student to exit or enter on their own, without the driver getting out of the car.  When drivers get out at the drop-off/pick-up loop it slows down the process for everyone.   Reminder:  Use the crosswalk at the front of the zone by the stop sign.  Let's work together to make it safe and efficient for all!

Please help the Escondido 3rd grade Girl Scouts collect gently used Spanish language books. Access Books Bay Area will donate them to Los Robles Elementary School in East Palo Alto. Please place them into the bin outside Room 15 before November 1. Spanish language books only, please.  If you don't have any books to donate but want to contribute, please send money to this PayPal link:  or paypal to

Funds will be used to purchase Spanish language books from Scholastic. This will also benefit Escondido's SI teachers.

  • Coffee will be available to families in front of the MPR, 8-8:30 am.
  • Escondido Wear Orders can be picked up near the MPR.
  • Please follow the school rules for costumes: Students are not allowed to wear scary, gory or bloody costumes (Scream, zombie, monster, etc.) and neither are fake weapons allowed at school (leave the sword and lightsaber at home, etc.) For those who are new to us, this school has a long-standing tradition of not allowing scary costumes to avoid traumatizing the younger students.
