Hello Escondido Families!
Your kids looked fantastic at the International Parade at Escondido this morning, keep those outfits out for another day and let's show them off to all of Palo Alto tomorrow morning at the May Fete Parade! Come join us- details below-
You are invited to participate in the 96th Annual May Fete Parade in downtown Palo Alto.
PARADE DAY: Saturday, May 5th, 2018
Please arrive by 9:30am, our Staging Number is 41 (in the surface parking lot on Emerson between University and Lytton). See attached map!
This year’s theme is “Children of the World!”
Please feel free to bring a flag and/or wear clothing that highlights a country that is close to your heart!
PARKING: Parking will be available at City Hall or anywhere outside of the staging area and
parade route. We recommend parking in the parking garage (Lot R) on High St. or
parking garage (Lot S) on Bryant St. @ Lytton Ave.
RESTROOMS: Restrooms are located at both parking garages above. There will also be portables
at Lytton Plaza and in Lot O on Emerson St. next to the Aquarius Theater.
PARADE ROUTE: The May Fete Parade starts at 10:00 AM rain or shine! The parade will start at the corner of Emerson St. and University Ave. The parade will travel down University Ave.
and turn right on Waverley St. and END AT HERITAGE PARK.
END OF PARADE: Due to the number of participants involved in the parade, a large crowd of people will be waiting at the end of the parade. It is HIGHLY IMPORTANT to designate a meeting
place prior the parade. After the parade ends, Palo Alto Kiwanis will be hosting a
May Fete Fair. The Museum of American Heritage will also be having a Vintage car show
right across the street from Heritage Park.
