November PTA Meeting Recap
Wed, Nov 15 7:45am
Escondido Elementary

Hello Escondido Families-

Monday was our 3rd PTA meeting for the year and we had another great turn out.  For those that were unable to attend...don't worry,  we will post the minutes, just outside the Office, on the PTA Bulletin Board.  Mark your calendars, the next meeting will be Monday, January 22nd at 7:30 am in the MP room.  New this year, alternating morning and evening meeting times, every-other-month.  At every meeting we will highlight volunteers contributing to Escondido in extra special ways, during the Welcome & Kudos portion of the meeting.

"Kudos" (special shout-outs) for October & November:

*A giant KUDOS goes out to the students of Escondido's Expect Respect Club.  The students were a huge help running the lunch time activities for Unity Day.  Unity Day is a national day of inclusion.  Schools all across the United States stand together against bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Celebrated on October 25, the Expect Respect students took the Unity Day motto of "When We Stand Together, No One Stands Alone" to heart as they worked with students of all grades to make paper chains filled with kind messages, helped students fill buckets of kindness, and made a beautiful display of inclusion in the form of wings.  Thank you so much Expect Respect!

*Thank you to Super Heroic for the amazing gift of shoes & cinch bags for ALL of our Escondido Students.

*Thank you to Hero Lab for coming out and setting up the obstacle course for our students...it was a great day as all the students were cheering each other on, working as a team, & having fun at the same time!  Don't we all wish we were kids again!

*Thank you to Jackie Kaur for her incredible work with Unity Day!  The paper chain and the feathers that the students made were incredible.

*Thank you to Kara Baker for all her work with Walk n Roll week...since the breakfast had to be cancelled due to the smoke, it has been rescheduled for Friday, December 1st

*Thank you to ALL the 5th grade students for decorating the entire Spooky Hop & to the 5th grade parents who helped run the event...it was so much fun!

*Thanks to Jesna Jose for her amazing work on our PTA website...everything is updated and so easy to navigate!  Check it out!

*Thank you to Arianne Teherani for running Escondido Enews!  It is so nice to get one email every Sunday with all the school, district, & community events all in one email.
