This is such an emotionally difficult time for everyone.
Hopefully the following information will help clarify any questions you may have.
- "Specials will now be given to Hybrid students on “at home” days". What this means, for example Cohort A will be in-person on Monday & Tuesday(and alternating Wednesdays), then on “at home” days Thursday & Friday(and alternating Wednesdays) they would have 1, 2 or 3 specials per day depending on scheduling. A possible example of what cohort A’s at home schedule may look like :
- Thursday : Live/synchronus Teacher Zoom check-in(30mins), PE(30mins) & Library(30mins)
- Friday : Live/synchronus Teacher Zoom check-in(30mins), Music(30mins) & Asynchronously Art(30mins)
- "Specials teachers will only teach in person for Kindergarten, to reduce risk of cross cohort exposure". What this means : Art will be Asynchronous(not live). For synchronous(in-person) Fairmeadow has its own Librarian and PE teachers, who will teach across Fairmeadow cohorts. The music teacher will however be teaching across cohorts from both Fairmeadow and Barron Park Elementaries.
Tonight the Board are planning to vote on the proposed plans put forward in last weeks meeting and the revisions, advised per Don Austin's email last evening as above.
