Discovery Day 2018

Every two years we do something special that brings together dozens of parents, teachers and students in a uniquely creative collaboration. It is an exploration of hobbies and ideas that we call Discovery Day.

The event is huge. Every table on campus will be filled by our intrepid volunteers who lead or support activities during one or two deliciously busy and focussed hours of fun and learning.

We still need volunteers to host activities, or else this beloved event cannot go ahead. We can only entertain about 300 students with our current sign-ups. We need more! We need YOU!

Our team of experienced organizers are on hand to help you pick an activity, source materials and help you find your groove on the day too. So don’t be shy! Check out our list of ideas, or come suggest your own:

Sign up online here: or email me directly: - I will be happy to help you sign up in person, by email or text, or you can contact me through Konstella.

Here are just a few of the activities that are still available:

  • Tiny Books: Children make cute palm-sized books out of paper and other craft materials. Is it a sticker book, a story or a tiny journal? You decide!
  • Polymer Clay Beads: Make brightly colored beads from Fimo or Sculpey to string into a necklace. Easy fun for all ages!
  • Crazy Collage: Cut up magazines, rip paper, used mixed media to create beautiful or wacky works of art!
  • Chromatography: Explore the spectrum of colors in inks and create works of art in the process!

If your child is in the 4th or 5th grade, this is their LAST Discovery Day: Let’s make memories for kids, and parents too. Discovery Day is not to be missed!

Thank you for your support,
