Hello Firebird Community.
Six year old Ruby Bridges stepped into the history books in 1960 when she integrated William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans becoming a national icon for the civil rights movement. Today her story continues to inspire the next generation of leaders to end racism together one step at a time. Some of your children may know of Ruby Bridges through our Project Cornerstone program.
Please join our Fairmeadow Community in recognizing the 1st Annual Ruby Bridges' Walk To School Day this Wednesday, November 17th. This is a perfect opportunity to teach children about the civil rights movement and make connections to today's collective efforts for change as you walk to school!
Thank you for your support!
