Walk & Roll to School Day
This Wednesday, October 3rd, is Fairmeadow 's Fall Walk and Roll to School Day. This is a great day to ditch the solo car commute and try an alternative -- walking, biking, scootering, carpooling, or taking the bus! If that's not possible, try parking a few blocks away and walking the rest. Every effort counts!
Active transportation is not only good for the environment but also great for students! Check out this article about research into physical activity and academic achievement!
Come to school a little early on Wednesday for bicycle hand-stamps, commute sticker chart, and a raffle! If you're able to volunteer from 8:00 am to 8:30am on Oct.3rd to help with the commuter table, please contact Tiffany (text 650-943-3814 or see e-mail below).
If you're new to walking or biking to school, see Fairmeadow's Walk & RollMap for the best route (it's likely different from the route you drive). If you have questions or need help finding a route, please contact Fairmeadow's Safe Routes to School Representatives, Tiffany Aubin (email@example.com) and Denise Johnsen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
