Chromebook Pickup information

Farrand Families, 


On August 25, 2020, families in need of a district device (Chromebook) received an email from the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Technology Department.  This email details the steps to be taken in order to pick up a device at Farrand on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

The steps are as follows:

  • Complete the Chromebook/iPad Take-Home Participation form within the online Back-to-School Registration materials in Parent Portal (

    • Please note that students must meet ALL of the eligibility requirements identified in theChromebook/iPad Take-Home Participation Agreement NO LATER THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE their school’s scheduled pickup time. Anyone who has not met these requirements 24 hours before their scheduled pickup time will not be able to take home a district device and will be asked to come to their school’s next scheduled pickup day.   This is part of the online Back-To-School Registration materials in the Parent Portal (

  • Make plans to come to Farrand, September 2, 2020 according to the schedule below. Students enrolled in the Virtual Academy will pick up their devices at their home/resident elementary school during the school’s scheduled time identified below.


  • Pick-up times: Please plan on picking up your device in the time slot that matches the first letter of your last name.


A – G

H – M

N – S

T – Z


8 – 9:30am

9:30 – 11am

12 – 1:30pm

1:30 – 3pm

  • If you are unable to make your assigned time above, please plan on attending the makeup day as follows:


A – G and H – M

N – S and T – Z


8 – 9:45am

9:45 – 12pm


  • Entrance/ Exit Directions:

    • Please enter the School parking lot using the driveway in front of the school.


    • Process:

  • District device distribution will take place outside of our school. When you arrive, please make sure that you have the items ready to show staff. 

    • Your photo ID

    • Your student’s student ID card OR your student’s ID number

  • You will stay in your vehicle when you arrive and throughout the entire process.

  • The process is expected to take a few minutes per family; with limited staffing and safety measures required, we regret that wait times might occasionally be long.

  • If you are sick or not feeling well, please do not come. Let us know and we will work to ensure issuance for you during our next round.
