Now for District News...

  • Free Meals are for all Students

The free meals being offered by the Food and Nutrition Services Department are for all students, and families are encouraged to take advantage of this service.  In addition to extending your family’s food budget and saving you time preparing meals, this service gives students comfort because it provides a little piece of their school experience at home.  The United States Department of Agriculture reimburses the district for the cost of the meals, so you are supporting your schools and keeping our staff working.  Finally, the food is good and good for your children. Click here for Information on how to place a 7 day breakfast and lunch pre-order (PDF)

Meals are distributed every Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Discovery Middle School, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eriksson Elementary School, from 4 to 6 p.m at Liberty Middle School. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at Salem High School.  You will receive seven days of breakfast and lunch.

  • Sign up for Community Education Classes for the New Year

Countdown to the New Year... and a new season of P-CCS Community Education classes.  Winter registration opens online December 14 for courses that begin in January.  An assortment of interactive, virtual activities will be available -- including art, dance, fitness, musical theater, science & technology, and more.

Visit for additional details and enrollment information, and remember to check back often. Great opportunities for both youth and adults will be added to the site throughout the season.  Email with questions or to suggest a course topic you would like to see offered virtually.

  • Parent Council meeting

Parent Council is a representative group of parents from each school building in the District.  This independent group serves as a liaison between P-CCS families and administration to provide a forum for open communication and act as an advocate for all parents, students and schools.  Meetings are held monthly and all families of P-CCS students are welcome to attend to learn about current events and programs. Most meetings are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the E. J. McClendon Educational Building located at 454 S. Harvey, Plymouth

Because the meetings are during the day, it is sometimes difficult for working parents to attend.  This month’s media was held via Zoom, so it can be viewed at: for anyone interested.

Please stay safe and be well.
